Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has a requirement to procure 30 bars of 4.250 inch diameter round bars for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE). This will be a Firm Fixed Price contract, in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The resultant contract will be for 30 bars of 4.250 inch diameter round bars. The bars are 18 to 22 feet in length. Material shall be SAE 4130 Alloy Steel per SAE AMS 6348E or SAE AMS 6528D, normalized, except macrostructure shall be no worse than S1-R1-C1 in accordance with ASTM E381-20. Material shall be ultrasonically tested in accordance with AMS-STD-2154D, Class A. The Government intends to procure the above item through a full and open competition after the exclusion of sources. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
