The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey intends to issue a Sole Source, Fixed Price contract to The Triumph Group for the development of the logistics data for the Kneeling Actuator, Main Landing Gear (P/N 06700-25001-041) in support of the CH53 Heavy Lift Helicopter Program Office. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements" for this action. The Triumph Group is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Kneeling Actuator and holds the proprietary rights to the diagrams, schematics, and drawings for the support equipment related to this effort. The Government does not have the technical data required to obtain this item from an alternate source. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any responses received. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
