The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract, on a sole-source basis to Taylor Hobson Inc. (CAGE 64790) for the procurement of Microptic Visual Double Axis Auto Collimators, model TA51 to include ligh field graticule, right angled eyepiece, and leveling base as required for the Bahrain AH-1Z Viper. Taylor Hobson Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and only known source for the TA51 that provides the guaranty, warranty, and calibration required. The data rights of the TA51 are property of Taylor Hobson and are not available to the Navy to solicit from other sources. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
