SYNOPSIS Kuwait F/A-18 Super Hornet Aviation Gas Turbine Engine Support Equipment (SE) The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to issue an award on a Sole Source basis with Rhinestahl Customer Tooling Solutions, CAGE Code 5QE71 (under authorized agreement with OEM General Electric Company (GE), CAGE Code 99207 for Aviation Gas Turbine Engine Support Equipment (SE) in support the Kuwait F/A-18 Super Hornet Program, as follows: Qty of 2, Customer Bleed Cover Assembly - PN: 17A8022G01, NSN: 4920-01-098-5380; Qty of 6, Pressurizing Unit Hand Operated IGV - P/N:1C3568G1, NSN: 4920-00-543-7930; Qty of 2, Pusher/Puller LPT - P/N: 21C14004G03, NSN: 5120-01-440-8260; and Qty 1, Bellmouth Test Cradle - P/N: 21C8503G01, NSN: 4920-01-093-6692. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. Rhinestahl Customer Tooling Solutions (under authorized agreement with OEM GE) is the only manufacturer of the above listed SE. Rhinestahl is the only company other than GE that possesses the requisite knowledge, sufficient technical data, drawings, software, and trained technical personnel to provide the required SE. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT POSSESS THE TECHNICAL DATA PACKAGE/DRAWINGS TO ALLOW FOR A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT. All responsible sources may submit a response which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract.
