The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Honeywell Aerospace of Columbia, MD (CAGE: 15151) for a requirement for the APN-194C efforts including, but not limited to, integration, laboratory and flight data analysis, anomaly resolution and deficiency correction, flight test equipment development and integration, software modification and sustainment, qualification test support, engineering change proposals, training and technical support and program management. The APN-194 Radar Altimeter is installed on 19 Type/ Model/ Series. Several of the Bit Piece components in the APN-194 have been discontinued without replacement. Honeywell Aerospace, as the sole developer and Original Equipment Manufacturer of the APN-194, is the only known company with the technical knowledge, proprietary data, and expertise necessary to provide this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of the synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
