Subject presolicitation synopsis is for a sole source award for a Firm Fixed Price contract for the procurement of one commercial-off-the-shelf brand name OMAX 55100 JetMachining Center from Phillips Corporation-Federal Division. The period of performance is anticipated to be 16 weeks. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
