The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Hartech Corporation – located in Lexington, MA who is the sole distributor for the maintenance and repair of the pieces of industrial plant equipment in the attachment to this synopsis. Hartech Corporation has been authorized as the sole distributor as designated by each of the Original Equipment Manufacturers related to the equipment. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304( c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.

Hartech Corporation has the exclusive rights and sole source delegation to provide all maintenance and service functions related to the industrial plant equipment to be serviced through this requirement. There are no other service providers authorized to perform factory authorized repair and maintenance services for this equipment. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis with Hardinge, Inc. under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
