THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is seeking additional sources for electrical connectors in accordance with SAE AS85028C Connectors, Electrical, Rectangular, Individual Contact Sealing, Polarized Center Jackscrew, General Specification For and the associated specification sheets for listing on Qualified Products List (QPL AS85028). SAE AS85028 may be obtained by going to the SAE website https://www.sae.org. This specification covers environment and fluid resisting, rectangular type, rack to panel electrical connectors (plugs and receptacles). These connectors utilize individually sealing removable crimp type contacts and are capable of continuous operation from -65 degrees to +150 degrees C. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. With respect to products requiring qualification, awards will be made only for products that are, at the time of award of contract, qualified for inclusion in QPL-AS85028 whether or not such products have actually been so listed by that date. Contractors should be aware of requirements specified in SAE AS85028. Manufacturers should arrange to have the products that they propose to offer to the Federal Government tested for qualification in order that they may be eligible to be awarded contracts or orders for the products covered by SAE AS5028. Guidance for manufacturers and their authorized distributors who wish to submit products for NAWCAD qualification is available from the Provisions Governing Qualification (SD-6).
