The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is seeking additional sources for an installation tool in accordance with MIL-PRF-32555, Tool, Installation, For Adjustable Tie-Down Straps for listing on Qualified Products List (QPL) 32555. MIL-PRF-32555 is available through ASSIST https://quicksearch.dla.mil/ and may be obtained by using the "Document Number" search box and entering 32555. MIL-PRF-32555 covers a hand-operated tool used to install MIL-DTL-32554 tie-down straps on wire bundles. The tool may be used for single and multiple wrapping of MIL-DTL-32554 tie-straps. Sources are also sought on this website for QPL-32554 Straps, Tie-Down, Adjustable, Non-Metallic, Cable Bundling. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. With respect to products requiring qualification, awards will be made only for products that are, at the time of award of contract, qualified for inclusion in QPL-32555 whether or not such products have actually been so listed by that date. Contractors should be aware of requirements specified in MIL-PRF-32555. Manufacturers should arrange to have the products that they propose to offer to the Federal Government tested for qualification in order that they may be eligible to be awarded contracts or orders for the products covered by MIL-PRF-32555. Guidance for manufacturers and their authorized distributors who wish to submit products for NAWCAD qualification is available from the Provisions Governing Qualification (SD-6).
