SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is seeking additional sources for these electrical connectors in accordance with MIL-PRF-18148D, Connector, Electrical, Aircraft Storage Battery for listing on Qualified Products List (QPL) 18148. MIL-PRF-18148 is available at ASSIST https://quicksearch.dla.mil/ and may be obtained by using the "Document Number" search box and entering 18148. These electrical connectors (both plugs and receptacles) are intended for use with aircraft storage batteries. The connectors are used in fixed-wing and rotary-wing military aircraft and are required to withstand exposure to prolonged periods of extreme seagoing environments. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. With respect to products requiring qualification, awards will be made only for products that are, at the time of award of contract, qualified for inclusion in QPL-18148 whether or not such products have actually been so listed by that date. Contractors should be aware of requirements specified in MIL-PRF-18148D. Manufacturers should arrange to have the products that they propose to offer to the Federal Government tested for qualification in order that they may be eligible to be awarded contracts or orders for the products covered by MIL-PRF-18148D. Guidance for manufacturers and their authorized distributors who wish to submit products for NAWCAD qualification is available from the Provisions Governing Qualification (SD-6).
