SYNOPSIS Adapter, Ground Fuel Pressure Check The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to issue an award on a Limited Sources basis with Product Support, Inc. (Cage 53247) and their mutually agreed upon business partners for the procurement of two (2) Adapter, Ground Fuel Pressure Check P/N: 208050, NSN: 4930-00-671-8086 in support of the Kuwait F/A-18 E-F Super Hornet Program. The Adapter, Ground Fuel Pressure Check is an adapter used to conduct leak checks while refueling in-flight. The in-flight refueling system allows the aircraft to increase its effective range by refueling from a tanker aircraft in forward flight. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. Product Support, Inc. (and their mutually agreed upon business partners) is the only manufacturer of the above listed item that is of the United States Navy (USN) required form, fit, and function. Any other source would not have an asset that is supported, compatible or interchangeable with the USN-approved configuration. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT POSSESS THE TECHNICAL DATA PACKAGE/DRAWINGS TO ALLOW FOR A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT. All responsible sources may submit a response which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract.
