The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to issue an award on a Sole Source basis with Gentex Corporation (Cage 60240) for a quantity of two (2) Oxygen Mask, Regulator, Helmet ... The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to issue an award on a Sole Source basis with Gentex Corporation (Cage 60240) for a quantity of two (2) Oxygen Mask, Regulator, Helmet and Communications Test Sets, Part Number: G006-2300-06, NSN: 4920-01-656-4283 in support of the Kuwait Air Force F/A18 E-F Program. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. Gentex Corporation is the only manufacturer of the above listed item with the Navy required form, fit, and function. This item is used for testing various oxygen masks to ensure proper operation of the oxygen mask inhalation and exhalation valve assemblies. Any other source would not have an asset that is supported, compatible, or interchangeable with the USN-approved configuration. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT POSSESS THE TECHNICAL DATA PACKAGE/DRAWINGS TO ALLOW FOR A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT. All responsible sources may submit a response which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract.
