The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure on a non-competitive basis a Penetrant Dip Tank, P/N PT-3636H. The Penetrant Dip Tank is required for the I-Level of Maintenance on the P-8A Poseidon Aircraft in support of the United States Navy. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Inspection Technologies, Inc., 2701 N Towne Avenue Suite A, Pomona, CA 91767. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only responsible source to perform this effort. Inspection Technologies, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer of the P/N 3636H and the only source capable of meeting the Government’s requirements. Inspection Technologies, Inc. owens all the proprietary rights to the engineering data. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
