The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to issue a solicitation on a sole source basis to the approved Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Thermo Electron North America, LLC (CAGE 3WXJ7) in West Palm Beach, FL, for the procurement of annual maintenance and support services, as described in the draft Statement of Work (SOW), for the following Spectrometer instruments: Item, Material #, Description, Serial Number, Coverage 0001, 842310065121, iCAP 6500 Duo View ICP-OES Spectrometer, 20094202, UEP-Elemental OE/ICP 0002, 1219114A560, Cetac ASX-560 Autosampler Mainframe, 1219114A560, Elemental ICP Options Thermo Electron North America, LLC has the proprietaru rights to the design and software utilized in the instruments. Also, Thermo’s Field Service Engineers are the only certified and factory trained engineers available to service the instruments. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.
