The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract, on a sole-source basis, to Verisurf Software, Inc. Anaheim, CA (CAGE 3QDQ0) for the procurement of of Verisurf software updates and maintenance support for the FARO arms Leica Laser Tracker utilized at the Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA). This procurement is required to support depot aircraft maintenance of the F-18 Aircraft. Verisurf Software, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only vendor capable of meeting the necessary requirements of FRCMA to the same form, fit and function that is compatible with the existing software subscriptions and maintenance support at FRCMA. An adequate purchase description or other information suitable to solicit by full and open competition has not been developed because procuring future services via another source would result in a costly duplication of effort. Verisurf Software, Inc. is the only source that can provide the software updates and maintenance support required to support depot aircraft maintenance of the F-18 Aircraft. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
