The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to issue a modification to Purchase Order N68335-19-F-0464 for the Teardown, Test and Evaluation (TT&E), Repair of the End Item: Laser Simulator P/N D0010023-2803, NIIN 01-607-6530 from the Fleet Readiness Center, Aircraft Support Equipment (FRC ASE), Solomons, Maryland, in support of FRC ASE. See attached Statement of Work for details. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. It is the intent of the Government to modify the sole source purchase order awarded to Boeing Company, St. Louis, Missouri. Boeing Company is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Laser Simulator P/N D0010023-2803, NIIN 01-607-6530 and they hold the proprietary rights to the technical data for this item. This Acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
