The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, intends to solicit on a sole-source basis to Pratt & Whitney for engineering design services for the development of a J52 main mount/jet car interface. Lakehurst NAVAIR intends to solicit on a sole-source basis to Pratt & Whitney due to the J52 main mount/jet car interface requiring finite element models of the engine to confirm any proposed interface design will not fail under the worst fault conditions which only Pratt & Whitney can supply. NAVAIR intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. This notice of intent is for informational purposes only, and not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not pay for any responses in regards to this notice. Respondents to this RFI should provide the following: - Technical and experience information on their ability to provide that meets the parts list above - Identification of business size, specifically, small business size status ( i.e. Small Business, Hubzone, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.) -Rough Order of Magnitude pricing information. Also, all vendors must be registered in Systems for award Management (SAM Database. The internet website is hhtps://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. It is mandatory to register with the SAM as your DUNs Number (Data Universal Numbering System) and your CAGE CODE (Commercial and Government Entity) code will be required to conduct business with the Department of Defense. In addition, all invoices will be electronically submitted in the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF); information will be available in subsequent order. Please include CAGE CODE, DUNs Number, and payment terms in your response. Responses should reference N68335-20-Q-0091. All responses received within the 15 days of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government.
