The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on a sole source basis to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Triumph Actuation Systems - Yakima, LLC (CAGE 97415) in Yakima, WA, for the procurement of the repair and overhaul of the most likely quantity of sixty-three (63) F/A-18 Collet Fingers (Part number 7-1666-2, NSN: 1720-01-464-6643). The repair and overhaul of the parts is in support of the Fleet Readiness Centers (FRCs) located in Jacksonville, FL (Fleet Readiness Center Southeast [FRCSE]) and San Diego, CA (Fleet Readiness Center Southwest [FRCSW]). The OEM is the sole owner of the data rights necessary to repair and overhaul the Collet Fingers. This includes repair procedures, test and measuring data, quality assurance procedures, machinery, tooling and material specifications required for this repair and overhaul effort. The Government intends to procure this requirement as a firm-fixed price contract under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
