The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis for the issuance of a contract modification with Calzoni SRL to procure the following: Centerline Light Fixtures P/N 3975AS6810-1 / 14 ea. Centerline Light Fixtures P/N 3975AS6810-2 / 8 ea. Wiring Harness P/N 3975AS6850-1 / 22 ea. Dual Connector Box P/N 3975AS7005-1 / 4 ea. Dual Surface Floodlights P/N 3975AS4005-1 / 28 ea. Maintenance Floodlights P/N 3975AS4205-1 / 12 ea. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), Far 6.302-1. Calzoni SRL is the original equipment manufacturer of the parts specified in this Delivery Order. It was determined by NAVAIR team leads and lead engineers that since Calzoni owns and maintains the drawings, they are the only source with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise to produce the parts and to perform the testing of parts to support efforts to reduce the intensity of the Lamp Assembly. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that may be used by the Government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government
