REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - SOURCES SOUGHT FOR TUBE BENDER NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER, AIRCRAFT DIVISION LAKEHURST, NJ Point of Contact (POC): Jignesh Patel, jignesh.patel@navy.mil LAKPP20190446 RFI Number: N68335-19-RFI-0302 PSC: 4920 NAICS Code: 333517 Background: This is a Request for information (RFI) for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst NJ (NAWCADLKE) requires a Tube Bender at the intermediated level of maintenance. Definitions: The Bender will be a Roll-Around, Computer controlled, clockwise (right hand) bend direction, rotary draw type of tube bender. It's performance abilities to form quality bends in TI and CRES aerospace tubing will be equal to other benders used successfully in MV-22 production, plus be able to meet the USMC'S rigorous requirements for Land-based equipment at the intermediate level of maintenance. The design of the bender will be compact enough to fit and function inside the land-based mobile facility van (MMF). The benders frame will include lockable swivel casters for rolling the machine to new flooring locations. The bender will receive external 208 VAC, 60 HZ, 3-Phase electric power by connecting its 10' long corded plug to the "National Electrical Manufacturers Association" (NEMA) L16-3 or configured receptacle inside the MMF. The electric power will run the computer, an operator interface color "liquid crystal display" (LCD) touchscreen, servo control valves, and various other control devices. The power will also run an electric motor that drives a hydraulic pump. NAWCADLKE is seeking information for industry regarding the Tube Bender. Please provide the following information about Tube Bender. 1. General description of your Tube Bender 2. Identification of critical requirements for the Tube Bender 3. Overview of your Tube Bender concept of operation 4. Discuss critical information required for the use of your Tube Bender 5. Describe environmental testing test methods 6. Provide any additional information you desire General Guidelines Your information package should not exceed 10 pages. Any operation manual provided shall not be counted against this page limit.
