UPDATE 7 MAY 2021 The Naval Air Systems Command, Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with L3 Communications, Wescam, for the testing, evaluating, and repairing of three (3) addtional MX-15 Master Control Units, P/N 42070-101, and one (1) AIMS Control Panel, P/N 40583-07. These units are critical to the functionality of the mission avionics system on the Taiwan P-3C aircraft. The support provided will include technical, engineering, technical directive, logistics, repair, and testing support. This notice is a follow-up to the Sources Sought notice N68335-18-R-0382 posted on 22 July 2019. The Naval Air Systems Command, Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with L3 Communications, Wescam, for the testing, evaluating, and repairing of MX-15 Master Control Units, P/N 42070-101, MX-15 Turrets, P/N 42170-89, and the AIMS Control Panel, P/N 40583-07. These units are critical to the functionality of the mission avionics system on the Taiwan P-3C aircraft. The support provided will include technical, engineering, technical directive, logistics, repair, and testing support. This notice is a follow-up to the Sources Sought notice N68335-18-R-0382 posted on 22 July 2019. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed to the Contract Specialist, Mr. Michael Miller at Michael.t.miller7@navy.mil. Responses to this notice must be submitted by 04 October 2019. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in a future competition.
