The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Lakehurst, NJ, on behalf of NAWCAD Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) Division 4.11.4, is officially releasing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a five (5) year Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the procurement of Comrod Inc. brand name Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) antennas. The procurement will support the Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV) Program of Record (PoR). The antennas are required to support both legacy and MUOS capabilities including simultaneous voice, video, and mission data transmission and receipt on a high-speed Internet Protocol-based system. MUOS radio terminal users can connect into the Global Information Grid as well as into the Defense Switched Network, providing worldwide Department of Defense communication. The RFP and Attachment P1 (Pricing Spreadsheet) are available as attachments to this solicitation. The Government intends to procure these parts under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(C): Acquisition for brand name. Therefore, this requirement is a limited competitive Brand name only procurement among Comrod's (Original Equipment Manufacturer) authorized distributors with award being made to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Offeror.
