The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst intend to establish a contract on a sole source basis to Antenna Products Corporation. This contract is intended to procure high frequency (HF) antennas in support of the modernization of Special Operations Command, Europe (SOCEUR) antennas. The Antenna Products Corporation spiral antenna and multiport antenna solution is the only antenna solution capable of meeting the unique combination of requirements for size, number of short range communication radio ports, and compatibility with LPI transmissions. Using the Antenna Products Corporation antennas is the only antenna solution capable of porting six (6) radios for short range HF communications within the space constraints of the site. The Antenna Products Corporation antennas are interoperable with the fielded SOCEUR PRC 160 radios and the RIS radios which operate in LPI mode. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
