THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is seeking additional sources for a natural and synthetic rubber-based adhesive in accordance with MMM-A-1617B, Adhesive, Rubber Base, General Purpose for listing on Qualified Products List (QPL) MMM-A-1617. This federal specification is available through ASSIST https://quicksearch.dla.mil/ and may be obtained by using the "Document Number" search box and entering 1617. This adhesive is for noncritical uses in applications where the unit stress on the adhesive is not appreciable. The adhesive will not be used for structural purposes, life rafts, inflatable boats, radome covers, pontoons, nor for deicer boot manufacture or repair. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. With respect to products requiring qualification, awards will be made only for products that are, at the time of award of contract, qualified for inclusion in QPL-MMM-A-1617 whether or not such products have actually been so listed by that date. Contractors should be aware of requirements specified in MMM-A-1617B. Manufacturers should arrange to have the products that they propose to offer to the Federal Government tested for qualification in order that they may be eligible to be awarded contracts or orders for the products covered by MMM-A-1617B. Guidance for manufacturers and their authorized distributors who wish to submit products for NAWCAD qualification is available from the Provisions Governing Qualification (SD-6).
