The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a fixed price contract, on a sole source basis, to Hamilton Sunstrand Corporation in Windsor Locks, CT, for TT&E and repairs of the Lifter and Manipulator, NP2000 Propeller P/N: GS24265-501 and Test Set, Synchrophase P/N:AD33480-2. These items are required to support the Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment program. The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The Government does not own the data rights and a competitive drawing package for this effort is not available. This notification is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Responses stating interest must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.
