This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. Kuwait has a signed Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Case KU-P-GHK that supports the Kuwait Ministry of Defense (KMOD) Calibration and Metrology program in Kuwait. This case provides procurement of equipment needed to facilitate the precision measurements required by KMOD, Repair and Return of calibration equipment, Laboratory Maintenance, Publications, and Other Technical Assistance. Kuwait has experienced a seriously degraded environmental control in one of their calibration laboratories and is working to secure sufficient funding for a permanent solution however in the interim the Kuwait calibration leadership has decided to use mini-split air conditioning units to keep the calibration laboratory operational at a reduced air conditioned level until funding for the permanent solution can be obtained. Technical Requirements Provide fifty (50) Split System Air Conditioning Units. Must be standard commercially available product. Cooling only required, Heating option is acceptable but not required Compressor, Inverter Type Wall Mount Interior Unit Power Requirements Single Phase 220 to 240 VAC, 50Hz Maximum current 20 Amps Nominal Size 2.5 Ton (30,000 BTU) Minimum, 3.0 Ton (36,000 BTU) Maximum Refrigerant R410A Accessories Power Cable, 5 meter Minimum Insulated Line-set Tubing Kit, 5 meter Minimum Remote Control, one per unit Warranty Five (5) years Minimum RESPONSES It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting officer a brief capabilities statement package (No more than 5 pages in length) and a commercial catalog with technical Data (PDF acceptable). This documentation must address the following: Company Name; address; Cage Code: Business Size; Point of Contact Name, phone, fax, and email address. Indicate the proposed model number(s), lead times, and warranty for the proposed solution. Provide an explanation of any variations from the requirements. Indicate if the responding vendor has the capability to provide in-country installation.
