THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center Lakehurst is requesting information pertaining to the Air Start Hose Assembly to overcome parts obsolescence issues. The hose assembly is used to provide hot pressurized air from a mobile air start unit to the engine starter. It must meet the following requirements; 1) hose material is silicone coated fiberglass reinforced with internal stainless steel helix wire. 2) End flanges and other metal components to be made from 321 CRES. 3) 49 psia Internal working pressure. 4) Flow rate shall be 110 lbs per minute. 5) Part must able to withstand vibration requirements of MIL-E-5272A except that frequency range shall be 3500 to 6100 cycles per minute. 6) Pressure check in straight position each and every part at 107 psig and 600 deg F internal air for 2 minutes minimum. 7) Minimum bend radius is 5.25 inches. 8) End flange #1 to mate with GF530C300A flange. 9) End flange #2 to mate with GF530CG300M flange. 10) Polyester outer scuff cover. 11) 3 inch internal diameter. 12) 43-44 inch overall length. 13) Non-metallic parts shall be resistant to fuels and lubricants per MIL-F562A, MIL-L-7808C and MIL-C-5606. The current FQTS is P/N G6-54-1000-800. The purpose of the request for information is to identify potential contractors capable of manufacturing this product for a T56 turboprop QECA. It is requested that information be submitted NO LATER THAN 25 January 2019 to Mr. Daniel O'Donnell, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Code 25212 B562-3, Route 547, Joint Base MDL, NJ 08733-5000. The Government will not release any information marked with a Proprietary legend, received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies, or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
