AMENDMENT 1 - The purpose of this amendment is to change the NAICS code from 334515 to 334418. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAVAIR), Lakehurst intends to issue a purchase order for the procurement of the End Item: Circuit Card Assembly P/N 73SD4-6KP200-90, NIIN 01-629-0189, NSN 5998-01-629-0189 for the Fleet Readiness Center, Aircraft Support Equipment (FRC ASE), New Orleans Louisiana, in support of FRC ASE. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. It is the intent of the Government to solicit, negotiate, and award a fixed price contract, on a sole source basis, to North Atlantic Industries, Inc., Bohemia New York. North Atlantic Industries, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Circuit Card Assembly P/N 73SD4-6KP200-90, NIIN 01-629-0189, NSN 5998-01-629-0189 and they hold the proprietary rights to the technical data for this item. This Acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
