The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis for the issuance of a contract with Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) / Curtis-Wright - Indal Technologies, Inc., to procure one (1) each Horizon Reference Sets (HRS) (P/N 212600-3). The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. Curtis Wright - Indal Technologies is the original developer of the HRS systems. Although a complete technical data package was delivered previously, at this time, Indal is the only company that can meet the agency's need for two HRS systems for the DDG128 and DDG129, as well as option units for MMSC #1 and MMSC #2, by the Required In Yard Date (RIYD) of 30 Jan 2022. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that may be used by the Government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
