The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure on a non-competitive basis On-Site Field Analysis and support to the Unite States Navy maintainer and aircrew operators for the AN/APY-10 RADAR installed on the P-8A aircraft. This synopsis is for the existing APY-10 contract with Raytheon for an additional twelve (12) months of Field Service Representative support. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract modification to The Raytheon Company, 2501 W University Drive, McKinney, TX 75071. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only responsible source to perform this effort. The Raytheon Company is the original equipment manufacturer of the AN/APY-10 RADAR system and the only source capable of meeting the Government’s requirements. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
