The Government requires a contractor to provide a Site Security Manager (SSM), Construction Surveillance Technicians (CSTs) and Cleared American Guards (CAGs) to be on-site during construction of a secure facility onboard Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella. The SSM, CSTs and CAGs work to protect the integrity of secure areas throughout construction. These personnel detect and deter implementation of clandestine monitoring devices into United States Government facilities that will house classified material, discussions, and information. The contractor personnel will verify, test, and accept collateral equipment delivered to the site to ensure that any materials delivered are in compliance with the instructions and directives applicable to secure facility construction. The contractor personnel will also coordinate receipt, inventory, and storage of materials.
