This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.203 in response to the mandatory requirement for a 15-day notification. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce FLCSI Det Rota’s intention to negotiate an three month extension to the current contract N6817119D6010 with Logistics Consultancy Spain SL (LCS) located at Avenida Inventor Pedro Cawley 10 El Puerto De Santa Maria 11500 for the purpose of maintenance and repair of harbor Patrol Boats until a follow on contract can be placed. A copy of the current statement of work is provided for situation awareness purposes. The Government intends to negotiate solely with LCS per FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), as no other source of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. Specifics of the rationale for the sole source are provided in the attached sole source justification. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations.
