This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring the dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes or proposals and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella, Site Rota Spain, intends to issue a solicitation for the award of regular overhaul and dry-docking of a USNS ship (T-EPF class vessel) in accordance with FAR part 15 procedures. All repair work is to be accomplished at the successful contractor’s facility. In order to support the current U.S. Navy mission, this solicitation will be geographically limited to all prospective contractors that have the capability to accomplish the repair work with shipyards located in the Sixth Fleet Area of Responsibility (AOR). For the anticipated solicitation, the Sixth Fleet European AOR will be defined as the coastline of Europe in its entirety within a country that maintains an International Agreement with the United States that addresses primary jurisdiction procedures for US Military personnel. PLEASE BE ADVISED that this is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a solicitation. Do not submit proposals in response to this notice. The subsequent formal solicitation will be posted in the near future and will include complete instructions for submitting proposals to be considered for award purposes along with the detailed scope of work and terms and conditions.
