The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a five-year, firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract on a sole source basis to Teledyne D.G. Obrien (hereaafter referred to as “TDGO”) for OA-9070E/BQQ Thin Line Towed Array Handling System (TLTAHS) Motor Signal Cables. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 ‘Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements’. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Code 15 requires a five (5) year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract on a sole source basis to TDGO for OA-9070E motor signal cables, one of each type to support fleet readiness requirements. This procurement is for two total cable assemblies (one ship set) and required for installation on-hull via Alteration & Improvement (A&I) V-0129 and Ship Alteration (SHIPALT) 5120D to meet ship(s) readiness. The anticipated award date of this requirement is expected to be on or about 31 JAN 2023. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
