This is a pre-solicitation notice issued pursuant to FAR 5.201. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) construction contract on a competitive basis using FAR Part 15 Procedures. NUWC Newport, RI has a requirement for Restroom Renovation. The proposed renovation is to update the bathroom area making it more functional for use, including ADA accessibility, new ventilation, new ceiling grid, new lighting fixtures, new plumbing fixtures, new tile flooring, electrical work, new modesty partitions and accessories. The onsite supervision will require one (1) qualified individuals serving the roles of superintendent, quality control manager, and site safety and health officer. Per FAR 36.204 - Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the estimated price is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bonds and insurance will be required. This procurement will be solicited as a 100% Small Business Set Aside, as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 236220. The Small Business Size Standard is $39,500,000.00. The Product Service Code is Z2AZ, Repair Or Alteration Of Other Administrative Facilities And Service Buildings It is currently anticipated that an organized site visit will be conducted. Further details will be released upon issuance of RFP# N6660422R0237, which is anticipated to be on or about 15 July 2022 and will be posted at https://beta.sam.gov. Offerors are responsible for monitoring information posted at this website. The closing date for receipt of proposal will be established in the RFP. Potential offerors must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. (See internet site https://www.sam.gov) Draft Plans & Specifications are attached. A company does not have to be JCP certified to obtain this attachment.
