This presolicitation/synopsis notice is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions and FAR 5.204 requiring dissemination of information for presolicitation notices. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has a construction requirement for new electrically operated rolling service overhead doors. Work includes furnishing and installation of new steel supports to support installation of new doors, furnish and installation of electrical components, and the relocation of existing exit sign conduit. Additionally, remove and replace the existing threshold at cell 313 with new materials. This is a Design-Bid-Build project with full plans and specifications (attached). As of 1200 EST, 3 AUG 2021, Naval Station Newport has officially moved into the ‘Substantial’ transmission category. Even for vaccinated personnel, masks are required inside federal buildings.. This solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 Million. Magnitude of Project per FAR 36.204 is between between $100,000 and $250,000. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price type contract. The project will be awarded by 8/27/2021. Completion will be 120 days after notice to proceed. All responsible and fully responsive small business firms may submit an offer which will be considered by the Agency.
