A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order on a sole source basis to Corning Incorporated, One Riverfront Plz, Corning, NY 14831-0001 (CAGE Code: 1C6B0), for the following item: CLIN 0001 - Corning Vascade EX3000 Optical Fiber Cable, Quantity 628,600 Meters, Shipping Costs Included Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination to Newport, RI, 02841-1708 This requirement is a sole source procurement under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 335921 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees.
