This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for non-commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13 as supplemented with additional information listed in this notice. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the most current Federal Acquisition Circular. This synopsis/solicitation will be open for less than 30 days, in accordance with FAR 5.203(b). The Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number is N6660421Q0336. This notice is being announced as a sole source requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330 with a small business size standard of $16.5 million. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order to Qortek, Inc. for engineering services to test and validate the functionality of the conceptual Stepped Tonpilz Acoustic Transducer (STAT) Partial Array 2.0. This testing and validation will enhance the potential and ability of the STAT Partial Array. Qortek, Inc. is the only vendor suited to test and validate the STAT Partial Array 2.0 due to it’s proprietary technology, experience and expertise concerning the STAT partial array. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Offers for other products must contain complete information and prices (to include labor categories and hours proposed and any material or other direct costs). The closing date for receipt of quotes is established in the attached solicitation.
