This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A separate, written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation will be open for less than 30 days, in accordance with FAR 5.203(b). Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N6660420Q8196. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Underwater Transduction Material Resource (UTMR) designs, builds, and tests prototype transduction devices as proof of concepts for the Navy. This facility needs the single crystal ceramic for use as the active element in test prototypes to demonstrate the effectiveness of a parametric acoustic array. The prototype was designed from the material up and without this single crystal material, the required work cannot be completed. The vendor must provide 300 PIN-PMN-PT <001> bars that meet the Technical Requirements in the attached Requirements document. Also attached is a drawing. These ceramic bars are customer designed to meet the single crystal array project at NUWCDIVNPT. NUWCDIVNPT intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order for the following: CLIN Description Qty Unit of Issue 0001 Piezoelectric Ceramic Bars IAW Technical Requirements 300 Each 0002 Shipping (If Applicable) 1 Job Delivery is FOB Destination to Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI 02840. Quotes must include an estimated delivery date and any applicable shipping costs. This requirement is being solicited as Full and Open Competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334419, Other Electronic Component Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees. The Government will award based on Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable. The Government will also consider past performance information in accordance with DFARS provision 252.213-7000, where negative information within the Supplier Performance Risk System may render a quote being deemed technically unacceptable.
