The solicitation, N6660419Q2823, is released and is attached. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and this solicitation will be open for less than 30 days in accordance with FAR 5.203(b). The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) of Newport, RI intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract on a Sole Source basis to Cases Cases, Inc., CAGE Code 1G6R1, Wakefield, MA for shipping cases for the Submarine High Data Rate (SubHDR) Mast Assembly. NUWCDIVNPT intends to purchase the following on an FFP basis: Part # Description Quantity H279020-3 Shipping Case for SubHDR Mast Assembly Color: Gray 6 each Freight Charge Required delivery date: 31 December 2019 F.O.B. Destination to Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI 02841 The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs. See attached Sole Source Justification. The shipping containers are in accordance with Raytheon Source Control Drawing Number H279020. The only approved source of supply on the drawing is Hardigg Industries, Inc., CAGE Code 11214, South Deerfield, MA 02373-0201. Cases Cases is the only authorized distributer for Hardigg. The anticipated award date of RFQ# N6660419Q2823 is expected to be on or about 30 September 2019. The posting of this solicitation is not a request for competitive quotes. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
