This is a pre-solicitation notice issued pursuant to FAR 5.201. Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) construction contract on a competitive basis using FAR Part 15 Procedures. NUWCDIVNPT has a requirement for interior modification of existing secure storage space. Project includes demolition and construction of walls, replacement of personnel and overhead doors, provision of through-wall exhaust fans and louvers, and modification of the electrical system. Onsite Contractor supervision will require at least one qualified individual who may serve concurrently in the role of superintendent, quality control manager, and site safety and health officer. Per FAR 36.204 - Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the estimated price is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bonds and insurance will be required. This procurement will be solicited as a 100% Small Business Set Aside, as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 236220. The Small Business Size Standard is $39,500,000.00. Product Service Code is Z2GZ, Repair or alteration of other warehouse buildings. It is currently anticipated an organized site visit will be conducted on or about Wednesday 16 Mar 2022.
