The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to L3 Technologies CAGE 3Z1E3 of 275 Martine St. Fall River, MA 02723, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), due to only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government's needs. This requirement is for the following: Repairs, labor and associated parts for two (2) Swimmer Interdiction Security System (SISS) units to return to full functionality. The Government intends to negotiate solely with L3 Technologies under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), due to only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government's needs. FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, apply. The applicable NAICS Code is 334511 Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing. The size standard is 1350 employees.
