This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of this Synopsis is to announce the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm- Fixed-Price purchase order on a non-competitive basis to Lake Shore Cryotronics, Inc. Work to be performed; NIWC will procure a Helium Recirculating Gas Cooler System for many projects across the center focusing on the ultra-fast electrical and optical characterization. The Government intends to negotiate solely with Lake Shore Cryotronics, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), only one source capable of meeting the Government's requirement. FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial items, apply. The applicable NAICS Code is 334515, Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals, and the business size standard is 750 (of employees) employees. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may submit a quote which may be considered by the Government.
