This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to NAL Research Corporation (Cage Code 1SZL2). The requirement is for the purchase of the following: ITEM: 0001 DESCRIPTION:Custom Modem with GDB PART NUMBER: 9603-RX QTY: 500 The Government intends to negotiate solely with NAL Research Corporation under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), due to only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government's needs. Acquisition of Commercial Items under FAR Part 12 and Simplified Acquisitions Procedures under FAR Part 13 apply. The applicable NAICS Code is 334419 and the size standard is 750 employees. Please be advised that the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. This notice of intent is not a request for quote; however, any responsible source that believes that it can fulfill the requirement and is authorized by the manufacturer to sell the quoted product may submit a quote which may be considered by the agency. Comments, questions, or concerns regarding this notice may be submitted via email to Isabella Busalacchi at isabella.busalacchi@navy.mil by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 5 May, 2021. Responses received before the stated date may be considered by the Government for purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. To respond to this announcement, you must be registered to the NIWC E-Commerce website at https://e- commerce.sscno.nmci.navy.mil and upload your inquiry under NIWC Pacific/Simplified Acquisitions/N66001-21-Q-6264. All responding vendors must be registered to the System for Award Management (SAM) website prior to award of contract. Information can be found at https://www.sam.gov. Complete SAM registration means a registered DUNS and CAGE Code numbers.
