The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to BNC Corp (CAGE 23908) of 2955 Kerner Blvd. Suite D, San Rafael, CA, 94901. This requirement is for the following: ITEM 0001- Cesium Bromide (CeBr3) Scintillation Detector 51 x 51 mm Low Background CeBr3 scintillation crystal mounted in an aluminum housing optically coupled to a 51 mm diameter Hamamatsu R6231-100 PMT ending in 14 pins. PMT pin layout compatible to Bridgeport digi-base. Background in the Ac-227 complex: 0.0013 c/c/cc. Guaranteed resolution for 662 keV: equal or better than 4.3% FWHM. MFG: Scionix Holland P/N: 51B51/2M-CEBR-LB-X2 QTY: 2 Each ITEM 0002- Cesium Bromide (CeBr3) Scintillation Detector 76mm x 76mm Low Background CeBr3 scintillation crystal optically coupled to a 76mm diameter Hamamatsu R6233-100 SBA Cathode PMT, wired for compatibility to Bridgeport tube-base MCAs. Low background CeBr3: 0.0013 c/s/cc in Ac-227 Alpha complex. Energy resolution is equal or better than 4.3 % FWHM @ 662keV. MFG: Scionix Holland P/N: 76B76/3M(LB)-X QTY: 1 Each The Government intends to negotiate solely with BNC Corp under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), due to only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government's needs. FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, applies. The applicable NAICS Code is 33417 and the business size standard is 1,000 employees.
