N66001-21-Q-6017 – Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award to Custom Marine Electronics, Inc. This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Custom Marine Electronics, Inc. (CAGE: 00G68) of 2525 Shelter Island Dr., Suite C, San Diego, CA, 92106-3134. The requirement is for a modified marine band radar system to detect and track surface targets as an integrated component to a port security system. The radars are configured from the factory with all cables to the various components. This project updates the hardwired connections and installs connectors on the radar pedestal, processor, radar controller, and at each end of the radar interconnect cable; this allows for the unique functionality for quick-change of any of the components through a process proprietary to Custom Marine Electronics, Inc. FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, applies. The applicable NAICS Code is 334511 and the business size standard is 1,250 employees. Please be advised that the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Comments, questions or concerns regarding this notice or required for solicitation may be submitted via e-mail ONLY to Ashley Cooper by 11:00 AM PT, Monday, 19 October 2020. All responses received before said date will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
