Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC Pacific) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to Instruments Inc.., under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) due to only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government's needs. The requirement is for the purchase of the following services: ITEM 0001: Modify and refurbish qty. 1: Instruments Inc.: Model S11-56 power amplifier. Refurbish amplifier Model S11-56 power amplifier Repair and replace all worn/damaged parts to bring unit back to Full Operational Tempo (FOT). Modify amplifier Replace and fabricate all necessary parts to extend the amplifier's low-end frequency response to 75 Hz. Additionally, the amplifier, upon completion of the work is to have the capability to provide 25 kW continuously across its entire frequency range, including down to 75 Hz. Request fabrication of a longer sled to accommodate new transformers and extend the rear of the amplifier for larger transformer and sled. Provide summing transformer Provide a summing transformer for operating this unit in series with a second identical unit. This is not a request for proposals. Any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting the requirement described herein may submit a capability statement. All capability statements received will be evaluated to determine technical merit. Responses must be submitted in writing no later than 2pm PST, 24 August 2020. Telephone responses and requests will not be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Acquisition of Commercial Items under FAR Part 12 and Simplified Acquisitions Procedures under FAR Part 13 apply. The applicable NAICS Code is 334220 and the size standard is 1250 employees.
