This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with iXblue Defense Systems, Inc. (CAGE: 3MFU2) of 27 WELLINGTON RD, Lincoln, RI, 02865-4411. The requirement is exclusively for a leasing arrangement for one unit IXBlue, Marins M11 Inertial Navigation System (INS). The M11 offers positional accuracy after extended use, heading accuracy within certain limits, compatibility with commonly available marine aiding sensors including velocity logs and depth sensors running PD0, PD6 and National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) formats, smaller size and power requirements, simultaneous connections, and no moving components. The Government intends to negotiate solely with iXblue Defense Systems, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, applies. The applicable NAICS Code is 532490 and the business size standard is $35.0 Millions of Dollars. Please be advised that the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. All responses received before said date will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
