This is an announcement/notice to intent to sole source. The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Harris Corporation, 1680 University Ave, Rochester, NY 14610. Harris Corporation will provide two (2) onsite Field Support Representatives (FSR) in support of PMW 790 Navy Expeditionary's fielded Harris tactical radio systems for one (1) base year and a potential of up to two (2) option years. Harris FSRs shall serve as Subject Matter Experts (SME) on Harris RF Communication products and systems, coordinate pre-deployment support, and conduct technical activities as required. Harris Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of Harris RF Communications products and systems which are proprietary systems developed by Harris. Harris Corporation has all data rights to their products, systems, and training curriculum, therefore, no other source is able to accomplish the above tasks. This notice of intent to sole source is NOT a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The order will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No hard copy Request for Quote (RFQ) will be prepared or made available for distribution. A determination by the government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Authority for other than full and open competition is in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Questions regarding this sole source order may only be directed to Christine Beltramo at christine.beltramo1@navy.mil. This is not an RFQ, but any firm believing it has the capability to perform these services will be considered by the Navy. Capability statements may be submitted only to christine.beltramo1@navy.mil.
