The iridium modem needs to be activated before the "Finch" board will respond in any meaningful way to verify correct functionality of the unit. 2. The .zip file, "PCB Assembly Quote Package Finch" is attached to this RFQ. 3. To incorporate questions and answers: Q1: "For this quote called "Custom Power Supply Assemblies", please clarify that it is the entire ISAT ASSEMBLY as expressed in A1.5 drawings document downloaded that should be quoted as defined by Drawing No. AD-IAISSAT-02-02a, and its associated parts list? Or, is it only a portion of the drawings? The ISAT Assembly drawing includes a TDK power supply and other items, but the document released does not appear to call the whole assembly a 'Custom Power Supply Assemblies.'" A1: The terminology 'Custom Power Supply Assemblies,' isn't really an accurate one, the document package.pdf states the ISAT for what it is, integrated automatic identification system satellite. The A1.5 DRAWINGS pdf contains all the applicable information to purchase, build and assemble the whole product. Q2: "The A1.5 drawings shows the following: a. Some kind of a pcb with a photo b. Some kind of a power supply to power the pcb (printed circuit board) c. Hoffman special enclosure d. We have no idea what is the purpose of this power supply e. We have no idea what is the input to this power supply f. We have no idea what kind of outputs are generated with this power supply. g. There has to be some specifications which should support all of this information. h. Only the original supplier can offer you a meaningful bid." A2: a. That is correct, it is a PCB. b. There is no power supply on the PCB. c. It isn't a special enclosure, it is an off the shelf Hoffman enclosure that is machined. d. There isn't any particularly reason for them to know the purpose other than being able to build it correctly. e. The power supply listed for the ISAT and the document lays out that it accepts 120 VAC and is internally wired for 12 V. f. The power supply outputs 12 v. g. The documentation contains all necessary information. h. There is no "original supplier;" NIWC Pacific created the PCB and then purchased off the shelf components for the rest of the equipment. 2.
